I'd Lie...
Adam seemed dead. Not that he was but he was actually relaxed and possibly dozing. It might have been the fact he had finnished all of his homework and the only thing on his mind was the quidditch match, James and of course Adeline. It was a saturday and usually on saturdays was a quidditch practise, Adam had given them a day off. He needed one, he hadn't slept properly in weeks and had been eating very little and what he did eat wasn't really helping him. However this morning he seemed back to his normal appitite. Wolfing down three rashers of bacon, three slices of toast, a small bowl of porriage smothered with chocolate shavings obviously and then a sneaky chocolate frog when he was back in the common room. His straw coloured hair was messy but the usual for him and so nothing was different apart from his outfit. The usual robes were dropped and he had a green t-shirt with some random things on it and some very faded army pants and his dark green converses. Everyone had them these days and that wasn't why he had them they were very comfortable.
He was lying on his back on the grass mound to the left of the pier about three meters away from the water itself he wasn't wanting to go in there again. Well not when he was absaloutly mortal on muggle alcohol and with James. Oh there he was thinking of his cousin again. For what may have been hours Adam actually moved and sat up the late winter sun actually having some warmth on him. Many were dressed just like him it wasn't too cold today and so it was acceptible. He leant forward running his long legs up to his chest and hugged them contentidly. Rose hadn't bothered him for a while and in a way it was nice to feel like he didn't have his sister around anymore. His eyes followed out to the horizon where the lake caught the sun in a blinding white glare. He placed his hand on his eyebrows to shield to sun and smiled lightly. Today was a nice day, yes he was alone but it could have been worse. Actually he hadn't seen Ebony around at all, James was out of the question and the news about Adeline had struck him hard in some ways he had been avoiding her. Then Teddy obviously was wrapped up with Holly, he couldn't blame either of them and anyone else he knew very little or wasn't keen on talking to them right now.

Adeline x Lovegood
x- Adeline walked out of the owlery and out onto the terrace of that highest tower. She had just sent a letter to her mother, and now watched her black owl fly off with iit. She leaned against the stone wall, looking out over the grounds. It was a bit breezy, giving her chills as it swept her blonde hair off her shoulders. She pulled a navy blue ribbon out of her pocket and tied it up, leaving her bangs to hang in her face. Today was saturday, so rather than wear her Ravenclaw robes, she had donned a blue & grey striped sweater and a pair of jeans. Her wand was tucked into her back pocket, sticking out by about seven inches.
Her emerald eyes gazed over the lawn and stopped at the lake, where one person sat alone. She knew who it was, of course. She knew his hair, expressions, body language from anywhere. She was a bit reluctant to go talk to him. After all, she was dating Troy now--no matter how much she loved Adam. Troy may have her body, but Adam had her heart. And she was beginning to fear that he always would. But nonetheless, she walked down the steps and found herself in the yard. Then she strode towards the lake, quietly walking up behind him. With a smile as she approached him, she fell to her knees behind him and covered his eyes with her hands.
"Guess who."
She whispered in his ear, not letting go quite yet.

Don't ask me if I love her because you know I'd Lie.
His hand loosened their grip on his keens and his legs elaxed a little. In fact he thought he was completley alone until some hands fell over his eyes. He jumped out of him skin as it had frightened him quite a lot. The touch sent a small shiver down his back, soothed his firght also, he could know who if was without the voice but it confirmed it, Adeline Lovegood. He put his hands onto hers a dragged them down lightly the smile on his face faultering lightly but then growing into a large grin. "Addie! I haven't seen you for ages!" He let one of his legs drop almost harshly to the ground the other still bent. His whole body had turned instrinctivly so he had Addies beautiful face in full view. Whoever this Troy guy was he was a very lucky person and he wasn't going to hold a grudge. Or as far as Adam can't hold a grudge which to anyone who kew him was a miracle and he would always hold one slightly. His face was still for a while before he blinked and collapsed to the side onto the floor again with a content sigh.
"Nothing like a day to relax is there?" He could feel the large lump of paper in his pocket from his mother saying that there was going to be an inquest into how the rescued house elf died. Luckily Adams story was agreed as truth so he couldn't get blamed for something he actually did do. The elf was a menice anyway and wasn't exactly friendly! It continued with a wish of a report on how the house elves at hogwarts were, about Rose and of course how Adam was. It then rambled on about how Ron wanted to come and see his first match as captain but was too busy trying to explain to muggle police that he doesn't need to take his driving test again because he crashed into three cars trying to reverse. Adam had simply left the letter to his imagination and so he could think of what to reply with. He'd get Rose to check up on the house elves she was just like his mother. S.P.E.W was an actual registered magical charity now and so Hermione had a full time job running it and Adam was unfortunatly one of those children that parents always pester to help them with those jobs such as feeding the elves, cleaning them down and just sitting with them; usually ending in his storming out of the room because one of the elves would have called his family traitors or gone on about mudbloods. He couldn't stand anyone harming his family.

Adeline x Lovegood
I will ask you this--can you spare a kiss? can you picture this coming from my lips, a whisper from miles away.
As he guessed it was her, she took her hands from his face and let her arms drape across his chest, her chin on his shoulder. She almost got through the situation without swooning over him, but her heart began to beat double time anyways. She pulled away and maneuvered to sit by him in the grass. She sat up, with her knees tucked against her chest and her arms around her legs. As she put her arms forward, her three-quarter length sleeve rode up around her elbow, revealing the eight inch long scar. It was red and raised, a bit swollen. It didn't hurt any more, the nurse had done all she could. but she'd have the scar for a while. She had gotten it during a run in with Anqelinque, a slytherin half blood hater.
Addie then stretched out her legs and laid back in the grass, her blonde hair spreading over the ground, little emerald stalks poking through the sheet of yellow. she turned her head to look at Adam.
"I know. its great. I've been so swamped with school stuff."
She said simply.

Her touch sent electric shivers down his spine and his eyes looked down to her arm seeing quite a nasty scar and shook his head lightly. "How on earth did you do that?" His heart seemed to skip a beat and all of a sudden the simple, human things like breathing became difficult to master. In a way he found himself idiotic that around a friend he couldn't simply put it aside. Although he still didn't admit it to himself it was a topic the boys all talked about freequently in the dorms and thus Adam had been proded and poked until he admitted that 'Adeline was nice' which was progress to but it in James' terms. Yet her words were true. Tomorrow was Hogsmeade too they couldn't have gotten a better weekend to just sit and relax. As he lay down his t-shirt climbed a little higher on his body and since he had a habit of wearing trousers that were obviously too big for him they were hanging rather low. The top of the Joker card was poking out from under it and yet still his mother hadn't managed to get it magically removed and hopefully she never would.
"I'm low on my supplies of chocolate so it's a good thing we have Hogsmeade tomorrow or I think I'd just about die of withdrawl!" He chuckled lightly and licked his lips. Everyone knew that Adam had a serious addiction to chocolate he was the chocoholic closeley followed by Rose of course. Whenever there was something to talk about Adam always had chocolate on hand to make it easier and more pleasant. He might have seemed that him and his sister only got on certain times but those who knew them well knew they got on exseptionally well. Rose looked up to Adam as a rolemodel and Adam admired Rose for the small things including her cracking sense of humor which made it easy to cheer themselves up. Just sometimes the fact Rose wanted to stay around them all the time wasn't too good she had to make friends in her own year, yes he'd be there for her but having a first year toddle around after you was a little downing actually.
