erin now that it's all said and done I can't believe you were the one.. It was chilly today, so she grabbed her Ireland hoodie and pulled it over her head even as she ran from the Ravenclaw common room. She pushed past the people in the hallways, tears blurring her green eyes as she ran for the castle doors, desperate for escape. The walls were closing around her, suffocatin her. She needed to get out. When at last the blue sky greeted her, she gave way to the heartbreak that consumed her. She pushed her hands into her hair and grabbed a fistful of the straight red locks. How could she have been so stupid? Tears ran from her angry green eyes and down her pale cheeks, a testament to what storm was hanging over her right now. She hated guys more than anything. Just because one couldn't respect her decision not to sleep with him, he went and found someone who would. The guy she'd dated for nearly a year had broken her heart. Releasing her hair, she shoved her hands into the pocket of her green hoodie to shelter them from the chilly air. Autumn had come at last, her favorite time of year. The leaves had just begun to change colors, red, yellow, and orange hung over her like a canopy as she wandered amongst the trees by the lake. In her jeans and hoodie, her hair loose around her shoulders, Erin looked younger than her fifteen years. A sigh escaped the girl and she swiped at the tears with an angry hand. She'd get over it, she was strong. The question was...how could she trust another guy ever again?

His fingers lightly touched the strings yet it was followed by his hand clamping on top of them. The black guitar was lazily possitioned on the auburn haired seventeen year olds head and it gave him a huge satisfaction just to be out in the late afternoon air even if it was cold. His eyes were almost white they where that lacking in colour apart from the smallest pigment of blue which was attractive if not a little strange and his concentration was filtered onto his jawline as he scribbled something down on a piece of paper and lifted the guitar on his jean covered leg. His fingers possitioned themselves on the fingerboard and his left hand fell neatly onto the strings and began a soft tune which repeat itself. His low hum was lightly audible over the quiet acoustics and he smiled slightly before letting his fingers go for it. He wasn't the singer and never wanted to be but his sister was. Sian had always took pride on her voice and so always sung when she could yet she wasn't around as much this year. She actually cared about her n.e.w.t levels like most other Ravenclaws.
He abruptly stopped and lifted it off his knee and lay it against the rock he had been sitting in, fashioned into a beautiful chair with silver and gold writing talking of the great battle 20 or so years ago. Taylor's hands fell to his hair as he ran his fingers through it and yawned without much care but he was paranoid sometimes. His t-shirt was quite tight on his body yet looked fine with the average jeans. He threw a speckle grey hoodie over his head and pulled it down, that was very big on him. It had 'CHENNING' written on the back with a snitch underneath. He'd pleaded on getting hoodies for the team and managed to get his own and wasn't exactly bothered if anyone else did. Leaving his ink pot, quill, parchment and guitar on the seat he walked down to the pier and stood against the railing looking down into the still waters. For winter it didn't feel like it although it had been raining quite a lot recently. He sighed and turned around leaning his head back and closing his eyes and with some relaxed nature smiled briefly. It wasn't a bad day and you could say otherwise to this young man he was quite enjoying his day afterall.

Yes, I believe in fairies.
A large black wolf-like creature came loping up to join his mistress, nuzzling her leg in comfort. Erin put her hand on top of his head and stroked his ears, murmering to him in Gaelic. Her melodic voice lilted with the memory of the green country, the land she had come from. She missed her home terribly, her Ireland. But it lived in her, in her heart, in her memory. It was home that would most help her to get over what Chris had done.
The strumming of a guitar reached her, soothing her with is simple music. Wiping the traces of tears from her cheeks, she ambled casually through the trees with Kah at her side, his head still supporting her hand. An old Irish melody entered her head at that very moment and she began to sing. The words were not something that the English would understand, they were in the ancient language of the Irish. Gaelic was said to posess magical powers of healing and hypnotism. Erin believed it.
A familiar face came into view. He was from her own house of Ravenclaw, but hsi name escaped her. She knew he was on the Quidditch team, she was hoping to make Chaser. She hadn't tried out last year, due to some injuries sustained from the previous year. Erin smiled, he looked like he was in his own little world, a relaxed smile on his face. Not wanting to break whatever he was working on, she just leaned against a tree and listened to the melody.[/color]

A soft purr from a smokey grey tabby cat perched on the railings beside him caused him to open his eyes and pull his finger under the cats chin before picking him up and holding him like a newborn baby. The cat relaxed immediatly as if this was a natural thing and the mutterings of the word 'blue' came from Taylors mouth. The wind ruffled his already completely messy hair and his eyes narrowed as the wind blew into them, the clear glass looking lake became simple lines, scribbles like a childs drawing. He sight and rubbed his arm with the hand holding the cats back end before cupping him over his shoulder and letting him jump gracefully to the ground. He waltzed over to the guitar and picked it up and over his head before plucking at the strings in a melodic beat which was a little different from usual although would go beautifully with a piano melody. He began to hum yet the cat ran to his legs and his hand dropped over the vibrating strings and blushed a little as he saw the Irish girl. He'd never really took much notice in anyone below the sixth year, they were a little more difficult to get away with being acceptible friends with. Or according to the whole social ladder. Taylor rarley followed that. Why be friends with only Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs and Griffindors in 7th or 6th year when there was the whole school? "Sorry about the noise..."
The light scottish accent flooded his voice as he bit his lip at the right side and let the guitar rest in his right hand. He had unusual talent for a left handed person although there where quite a few left handed guitarists in the 7th year this year. Steigar being one of them and then if Taylor classes himself as moderitly good he'd be one of them. However unlike Melia he wans't ampidexterous (sp?) he was simply just left handed. It made life much more simply. His cloudy frost blue eyes looked back over to Erin and smiled lightly before looking to her side and seeing a wolf. He controlled himself enough only to jump, him and canines had never gotten along too well although his phobia wasn't of animals it was very long words. Strange fear yes but he couldn't help being frightenened of their length and being a perfectionist at spelling he'd never liked them too much. "I'm Taylor,"

"Noise? That weren't noise, but beautiful music."
Erin replied, her lilting Irish accent making her sound as if she were always laughing. A faint smile traced her lips as she watched him blush. It made him look adorable, although she hardly thought she was worthy of blushing over. Seeing the poor boy jump, she couldn't help it..she really did laugh.
"Eh, Kah won't hurt ya now."
She spoke to the big silver wolf in her Gaelic tongue again and the animal paced to the nearest tree and lay down next to the trunk, his yellowish eyes resting on the pair of humans. Erin tucked her cold hand into her pocket, using her left to warm it up.
"I'm Erin. You're in Ravenclaw aren't ya? The Seeker?"

Taylors lips curled into a small smile at her accent. There where quite a lot of Irish, Welsh and Scottish folk in the school now but her accent was just so cheery. He'd always thought that Scottish sounded angry all the time, or perhaps a little desperate. He picked his hand to his hair and ran his fingers through casually. It was nothing but something he did a lot of, a habbit many would say and others would say vanity although Taylor inherited it from all of his male relatives they all did the same. He dropped both of his hands, yet not after taking the guitar from around his neck and placing it on the floor, watching Blue jump onto the seat next to it anxiously looking from Kah to Erin and from Erin to Taylor and then to the guitar. "Aye sometimes it isn't I suppose, yet a lot of the time it is just noise. I make it up on the spot and Sian plays along to it, she's got more talent can pick almost any instrument up and know how to play it." He chuckled to himself carefully. He always spoke of Sian highly to give her more confidence yet he knew her dark secret and didn't want to know and so dismissed it hoping his words were enough.
"I haven't got such a good past with dogs, uncles an animagus and scared the shit outta me when I was a toddler..." He turned his head to the side to look at the canine and smiled lightly but still a little nervously, it's yellow eyes were appealing yet at the same time warning and frightening. He pulled at his hoodie and let the very large jumper fall back onto his body strangley as before. "Aye I've been the seeker for four years now although I'm not as talented as a lot of them out there." He shrugged with modesty, he wasn't a boaster or anyone who was completely confident with themselves. His mouth twisted into a slight 'o' shape before he shook his head and looked back to Erin from his small trance with the wolf.

The breeze stirred her red locks about her shoulders, tumbling them playfully into her face. A chill caught her and she shivered slightly and huddled tighter into her hoodie, grateful for the protection against the crip autumn air. Her eyes closed as Taylor spoke, he reminded her so of Chris, who had also been a musician. Tears threatened to squeeze out from their pool, betraying her heartache to this boy she barely knew.
"I wish I had that talent. I sing a bit and I can pound out a tune on the piano, but that's about it. You're a lucky one, you and Sian both."
Kah whined softly from his resting place, but didn't move. He wouldn't come until Erin called him or left, neither of which she would do now. She was enjoying the air, the casual conversation. And the sight, for Taylor wasn't exactly hard to look at. When she opened her eyes again, they lit on Taylor as he explained his role on the Quidditch team. Humble, which surprised her considering how good he was. A slight smile curved her lips. It was cute. He glanced at her and she fought the urge to blush, knowing she'd been caught staring. She moved a few more steps foward, her eyes drifting from him to the river.
"Rather mischevious uncle, isn't he? Mine was like that. I played Quidditch my third year, but I only lasted one game. Some ass of a Slytherin knocked me from the air and I broke several bones. I've only just now gotten over my fear of flying again and I'm a Chaser on the team. THink the bastard still plays, perhaps I'll get a chance to pay him back, no?"

His fingers wound their way around the elegant neck of the black guitar before resting lightly on the top, his posture remaining quite perfectly upright. The voice of this girl sent a small jolt of electricity down his spine it was just one of those voices that made you smile although he could only imagine the effect it would have on him if she was upset. Although a hint of unhappiness spread off her lightly Taylor wasn't exactly a genius at picking it up. He was clever, although the sorting hat was a little confused on his brains and had a mind to stick him in hufflepuff or griffindor although his bravery was questionable too, yet just not on the whole female front. He'd never been a 'lady's man' in fact he hadn't really had a serious relationship that he could say he enjoyed. "I bet you have talent, everyone has talent somewhere. My sister doesn't think she has talent but I just don't listen to her." He chuckled lightly at his words, the fact he brought his sister up too much and that Blue obviously wanted some attention. He picked the cat up like a child again and looked at him for a while before looking back at Erin.
His hand clased firmly on the shoulders of the cat so much that it gave a small squirm at the mention of his uncle being mischievious. It threw him off guard to talk about him in the traits of him. Taylor had never actually known his uncle apart from the fact he tried to steal Taylor from his sister because his own wife was barron. His shoulders set in a small shrug and he looked at the floor with a small sigh. "He's more like a theif, was sent to askaban, released and then murdered for trying to take something from gringotts..." His tone perked a little strangley at the end like he had choked yet hadn't. Her view on her quidditch past intrested him lightly and he nodded slightly. "I knew I ecognised you! Yeah you have a good chance and don't worry I don't think Miss Lovegood is taking anything toward her team this year. She was trying to get Professor Raven to teach us some deffensive spells allowed in the game, unfortunaly he wasn't exactly staying for much longer. Dissapeared 2 days afterward actually. Although if the team won't help I'll help you get him. I only have to watch for a golden thing not like I'm part of the main game is it?"

Erin winced, her lack of tact evident. She had touched a tender part of the boy's past and now she felt foolish. She'd always had a bad habit of speaking before she thought and the embarassment was acute.
"I'm sorry about your uncle."
She said softly, now avoiding his gaze at all costs. She stared resolutely at the still waters, though there really was nothing there to see. His next words made her glance at him, he recognized her? She'd always been the one no one really saw, but it had never bothered her. She had a few close friends and that was all she needed.
"I picked up a few. No worries, I'll use them without mercy of course. I'd love it if you helped me, two are much better than one."
A mischeivous glint sparkled in her eyes and she laughed at the outrageous ideas she'd had planned. Her father had taught her a strange curse, one that made miniature bats follow the victim around and do nothing more than nip and make very high-pitched noises. It was annoying as hell, he'd used it on her once when she'd made him mad.
"Maybe not the main game, but you're still important. Without the golden thing we don;t have much of a chance at winning, now do we? Not that it's all about winning. Having fun is what it's about for me...that and revenge."
Her tone would tell him she was joking about the revenge part. She wasn't a mean person unless someone really made her blood boil. Not that it took much. Erin grinned again and glanced at Taylor. His hair was ruffled from his habit of running his fingers through it. He looked windswept, but it suited him somehow.

er sudden avoidance of his eye slightly churned his stomach he didn't enjoy the whole thing that his family made other uncomfrotable, sympathetic or in any other way just avoidant of him. He smiled lghtly and let the cat crawl up so t's head and front paws were on his shoulder but it was sitting on his folded arms. "He was an idiot and so I don't want any sympathy or sorries for him," His eyes fixed themselves on her hair and he smiled lightly, some people found the red a little frightening, off putting or otherwise repulsive to put it in the words of the malfoys yet Taylor had a certain attraction to it although her face was probably more the reason. All in all she was a pretty girl and deffinatly an easy sight on the eyes. He let his arms drop from the folded possition as the cat jumped to his shoulder and sat on it as if it was the comfiest wall in the world. In fact Taylor was so used to it he didn't even really notice it anymore.
"I'm good at charms and self protecdtion otherwise I'm stuffed." He laughed lightly and nodded agreeing with her two is better than one. The lake had glassed over again as the wind had died to almost nothing yet he hadn't noticed it. His eyes looked back over the Kah and smiled lightly. He actually liked the eyes on him somehow made him feel safer. What much use was a cat in helping fight? Now a canine with strong jaws, something that was just something reasuring. "I suppose. So you supporting Griffindor in the match on Friday? Adeline seems to be really rooting for them, more than she did last year. I think theres something going on between her and Weasley..." He raised his eyebrows lightly and then chuckled into his fisted hand lightly. "Yeah revenge is sweet, although I think winning is one point I like most. Makes it worth the effort,"

Erin brushed the fly-away strands impatiently from her eyes and turned back to him, leaning against the tree almost lazily. She nodded in agreement with what he said about his uncle, she could completely understand where he was coming from. Everyone had people they never wanted sympathy for.
"Sounds like we'll make a good team then."
She winked at him, her over-active imagination already cooking up all kinds of crazy schemes that they could pull off together. At his next words, she raised her left eyebrow pensivley. Adeline and Weasley, really?
"Of course I'm cheering for Griffindor. I hate Slytherin and everyone in it. Pure blood asses thinking they're better than everyone, especially an Irish half blood."
The venom in her voice was surprising for one so harmless looking. She'd taken more than her share of crap from the Slytherins, especially the Malfoys. The Malfoy girl took pride in making fun of her family, calling them poor Irish farmers though they were far from that. But Erin had never really fit into English society, for while most English were kind, there would always be some that looked down on anyone that spoke the way she did. Erin folded her arms defiantly and bit her lip as she tried to control her temper. It was amazing the way she could piss herself off like that.

Taylors eyebrows seemed to lift lightly and a small chuckle held under his breath fell from his chest julting his body lightly. His pale eyes fell to the ground and to the right seemingly looking to the lake yet he himself didn't know what he was looking at. The cat gracefully jumped from his shoulder in a blur of smokey grey and padded off down the path with a soft purr following it like a path following a stream. He rolled his shoulders back twice just because the lack of weight on one of them made it feel slightly uncomfortable and then looked back to Erin and smiled at her comment. "Well I'll look out for ya, it's not great playing against anyone but slytherin are just the bastards anyone would hate. Personally I'm glad they got rid of Lennox, or he didn't try out. He was the best beater they had at the best of times and I don't know why but he only aims for certain people each game... I was one on my second ever match fell from a great hieght..." Taylors laugh was soft and in a way silent compared to many other laughs.
A figure in the distance was carefully humming to itself and it left the lasting happiness of his laugh stay on his face, it was nice just to see other be happy and not go around complaining about life. "Griffindor have the better players I think, well Ravenclaw do but between Griffindor and Slytherin I hope Griffindor win. Otherwise we'll never hear the end of how slytherin triumphed over griffindor and it'll just make their heads balloon." His hands fell into his pockets neatly as he turned and sat down on the arm of the stone chair with a slight grin on his face, mind reflecting on his won words and what would actually happen if slytherin did win. Chances were they would have such big egos anyway they would slip up soon enough. The wind fell back into the trees and their rustling leaves sounded like a sweet whisper over the almost complete silence of the grounds.

As quickly as it came, her anger faded, which was unusual. She glanced at Taylor, a strange look in her eyes, an almost unreadable expression. What ws it about him, she couldn't stay mad while he was here? Even Chris had been pushed from her mind, she realized with a jolt.
"Ah, their heads already are balloons. I'd love to take pin and see how much crap comes out when its popped."
Erin smiled, her own laughter joining in with Taylors. She took her hands from her pockt and raked them through the long red strands, pushing it back from her face in some kind of weird style. His comment about Lennox had tickled her, poor Taylor, he'd been a victim of the blood sucker.
"he usually gets Jenna, you know her? I heard them talking about it one day on the pitch."
Erin released her hair and it tumbled back to her shoulders in a sheet of crimson, one that just screamed spirit and defiance. It was how she lived her life, cracking jokes, standing up to people she hated, defying others limits. One almost would never guess that she had some serious self-esteem issues going on under the mask. The wind stirred the dying leaves and they fell over Taylor and Erin. Impulsivley, she stuck her arms straight out and turned in a slow circle, letting them fall onto her face and whole body.
"I love the fall! It's beautiful, the cooler weather, the smells. I love the decorations that come out and the way that everyone seems a bit happier since the heat isn't so opressive."

His body shook into a light pelt of laughter. He laughed a lot. Or so it seemed but mostly it was true behind the joyful heartfelt laughter. His face calmed slightly red from the bubble of laughter that washed over him and his shoulder dropped and let him slouch more on the arm of the limestone covered slab. "Yeah Jenna seems to get it rough although Zack isn't the same as he once was. He actually used to be seen laughing his head off and talking nowadays ya see him just sitting at the end of the table alone. Although I have no sympathy..." Taylor rolled his steely blue eyes with a small smirk on his face. It was true that Taylor hated the vampire even though he knew nothing much about him and had only exchanged insults and curses with him. Yet he always kept and eye on him, something was always suspicious when Mr. Lennox was about.
Taylors gaze seemed to fall upon Erin as she danced about in the sudden gust which flattened one side of his hair with slight vanity he pushed his back up only letting it flatten back down. A sharp grin fell on his face and he pulled his guitar so the strap fell diagonally across his back and held the guitar in a loose and lazy way before he started playing it lightly to something which at any other situation would seem totally strange yet the notes, the melody fell like autumn from the instrument. The black strap cut into the loose hoodie pushing him name 'CHENNING' into something that looke more like 'CHEING' yet he wasn't exactly paying attention. His strumming quietened as he spoke a simple 'yeah' then picked u[ as he hummed lightly with a smile upon his refined jaw. "You've given me a great idea for a song, you should try and sing something along your words that you said it would sound great! "

His laugh was nice, she thought with a smile. The simple melody of the guitar surprised her, as did his words. Already, the Gaelic was popping into her head and it drifted from her like the wind, joining in with the rise and fall of his instrument. She stopped after one verse, her mind drawing a blank.
"You can't just play music and expect me to dance alone. Come on, dance with me."
So she was impulsive...it made life more fun. Erin stopped and held out her hand to Taylor. Leaves continued to swirl around them, carried on by the faint breeze that knocked their fragile bodies from their dwelling places. They had settled on the girl by now, a few little ones accenting her red hair and adorning the shoulders of her sweatshirt.
