The late winter sun shone down, giving the world an unearthly glowing light and teh cool breeze ruffled the sepping lawns just a fraction, so as to make them look like a calm pond on a summers day. It was almost poetically beautiful. Leaves, red, golden and brown still struggled in vain to retain their precariious perch on tree branches but every breeze would sweep a few more away, eminding them of the ineviatable onset of winter, but for the moment it was autumn and it was beautiful. An owl hooted sleepily as its feathers turned up the worng way, all topsy turvey but soon closed its wide golden eyes in sleep once more. Ebony took in all these sights with lungfuls of crips cool air and smiled, it was a wonderful day to be alive.
She danced down a couple of tsteps before looking back to see if Milly had kept up alright, Ebony had half skipped through all teh corridors, happy and slightly hyper, just enjoying herself and now she stopped at last and turned back to search in teh gloom of the bog oak doorway for the other girl, her voice cracked slightly and swooped which mad eher giggle as she called out,
"Milly! You there?"
She grinned awaiting the reply that would signal the begining of their walk.

Yep I'm here Milly said taking a step behind Ebony. She stuck her hands in her pockets as the winter breeze blew against them lightly. Milly shivered lightly but she wasnt cold. Milly's favorite season was winter and fall. She loved watching the leaves change color. She wasnt like most kids her age when she was little. They would rake the leaves up and jump in them...not Milly though. She liked to sit on her front steps watching the leaves change color then fall when it was time. Then when the first snow would come she would carefully scoop it up and look at the different flakes. Every flake was different. Milly returned to reality and smiled. She loved going on walks. She loved walking around espically places she had never been before. Milly's smile never left her face. Milly looked at Ebony and then moved beside her.
