His grey eyes dulled across the faces as he sat at the desk, infront of him was a few beetles and spiders trapped in jars others bubbling away. His smirk was satisfied with everything as he stood up unusually Izador had gone for something other than his robes and insisted he wear his casual earthy tones. His clothes, although slightly muggle like, reflected his pirate like appearance all the way down the his heavy boots which he expertly lifted without any cause to be concerned. He never usually took them off his feet there was no need, they were always close and easy to slip on if he needed to have a quick get-up-and-out of bed. Today he'd left his hat on the desk contourted from the students view by the bell jars, liquids and obscured by the various beetles and aracnids he'd delightfully asked the care of magical teachers professor to fish up for him. "Professor Raven, Auror and your new Defence against the Dark art's teacher. I'm late because we had a case of unspeakible metionables to deal with end of story. Now the lesson today may have already been drilled into your minds, perhaps you have been told never to do these. The Unfor-"
His mouth stopped as a hand shot up in the air and he shook his head lightly, hair falling from the low tail and giving him strands around his eyes which he pushed back with a sigh. The girl put her hand down and glared at him before he turned his back on the class and scribbled down a summary of what he had said finnishing his sentence silently in his mind and by writing. His script was slightly spider like although he'd never took much pride in being neat and so he simply scribbled everything down on the board before turning and looking over the class. "I trust your cover teacher taught you about some of these? Therefore I want a name of one and the action of what it does." His words were spat out his mouth, sometimes he wished he was simply the student being a teacher was possibly more difficult. Drifting over to an empty desk on the front row he perched himself with his feet on the chair looking over to his right and winking lightly.

Teddy stared at the reflective surface before him, looking deeply into the pale blue eyes he nearly always wore. Hmmm.... They were getting slightly old, he had had blue eyes for nearly two weeks! A record for teh sixth year. With a grimace of concentration the Ravenclaw stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth and watched, still fascinated by the transformation, as the blue changed gradually into a strange gold flecked ever so slightly with a darker bronze. His hair changed too, growing from it's strangely shorth lenth of a spicky inch into a far longer length of at least 5 inches. The hair color remained the same for a few seconds, black tipped with blue, before the dark, navy blue seemed to seep up into his scalp, while at the same time retreating from certain striped of hair which then turned into the same color as his eyes. With a grin that revealed his perfectly white teeth Teddy turned to a Hufflepuff girl sitting beside him. "What d'ye think?" She was silent, but her eyes looked at him so strangely Teddy figured he might as well make it better. "Yeah, you're right." Quickly he turned back to teh small pocket mirror he held in his tan hand and concentrated once more. This time the color of his hair didn't change, just the length and style. Gone were the sweeping bangs of moments before, replaced with two inch long spikes, each colored with the Ravenclaw house colors. There was just one more thing he needed.. Teddy's skin darkened just one more shade, transforming to nearly the exact same shade as hair and eyes. With a contented sigh he sank back into his chair before stowing the plain mirror in his bag.
Finally the sound of the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's voice sounded through his pleasant delirium of what he thought was truly unique and fashionable. Well, at least it was nice and bright. In fact it kind of stuck out like a sore thumb in this darkly lit room of blondes, brunettes, and the occaisional red heads. Ew. Blondes were so last year. If even then. With a positively wolfish grin Lupin focused on Professor Raven just as he shook his head at the Hufflepuff beside him. Snitch, she was probably about to tell on him for not paying attention. Hufflepuffs were so concerned with the rules it positively made him sick. Well, except for Rose, of course. Teddy fancied himself protector of his young god-sister, and he really couldn't make fun of her, could he? With a start Teddy realized the professor had asked a question, peering frantically at the board he finally deciphered the messy scribble and figured out the question. The Ravenclaw lazily raised his hand, hardly caring if he was called on or not. But oh, he had a good one.
The unforgiveable curse had killed his mother long ago in the Second War against Voldemort, leaving Teddy an orphan. She had been the bravest Hufflepuff ever, for not only did she fight, but she also married his father, a werewolf. Her own aunt, Bellatrix Lestrange, had killed her with the Cruciatus Curse, hiding herself away while the battle raged around them just so she could torture the neice she considered a 'blood traitor'. Teddy felt a small bloom of rage blossom in his chest, but he quickly quenched it. It wouldn't do if he started fuming in class. The hair changes would be distracting and it would mean yet another detention. That's why when he spoke the answer his voice was just as calm, just as lazy as his action. "Cruciatus Curse. Inflicts excrutiating pain on the victim." At the word 'victim' his mind conjured up a mental picture of what he knew his motehr looked like from a family photograph withiring in pain on the floor. Internally the metamorphmagus shuddered, but to anyone else in the class he looked normal.

Laefe was in a reclining position in the back of the classroom, hair negligenly in front of his eyes giving him a half asleep look. But he was far from dozing, he was actually rapt, he enjoyed his classes unlike most people, and DADA was his favorite, after Charms which had a much better looking teacher. As Prof. Raven asked the question his hand was up immediately and he said, The Imperious Curse, controls the victim. in his low calm voice.

All classes bored her except for DADA and transfiguration. Those two were the only ones she cared for at all. Potions and Herbology sucked, but Care of MAgical Creatures was okay. Charms she could do without and deinvination. She found a lot of the classes boring and not exactly entwined with her future. At the slightest glance at the DADA Professor she knew this would be a fun year, as long as he didn't drop out of his job within the next two years. She smirked and tucked her hblonde hair streaked with hot pink behind her ears. Her violet like optics swiveled to search the class for anything interesting; the teacher had been late.
She saw an Metamorphagi, he was a Ravenclaw, around her age. Teddy Lupin was interesting to look at; God-son of the Potters, Arturo knew him very well, she was very close to the Potters and Cousins with the Weasleys. She smiled at the boy as he changed, Ted was a funny one in a boring place. As the teacher droned out a question she was a third to raise her hand. She was last called upon naturally, she had been last to raise her hand. "Avada Kedavra; the killing curse. It is unblockable and an unfortunate fate." She felt a smile tug at the corner of her mouth, a nice fate that dark wizard, Voldemort, had suffered. What a lovely end to him; and his most respected follower, Bellatrix Lestrange.

The professors eyes lingered on the Metamorphmagus unti he resulted in looking at his notes. Nodding lightly to show them he was infact listening he opened his mouth but still never spoke and turned back to Teddy. "Lupin? Teddy Lupin? Aye you'd know about that one, not perticularly pleasant either. Let's just say we have both felt it's loss..." Truth be told this was no lie, he turned his back again on the class and began writing very slowley on the board mulling over his memories. Izzy was barely starting school then, when his half brother Cole had died. The police thought it was simpley too much alcohol, drugs and smoke yet the eyes of a whitness never do actually lie. He saw his brother on the ground screaming in pain telling them that he didn't know where Antrictula Melbou lived, grabbing his head and trying to make the pain stop. He turned again and the vision of what happened died. He gave a half hearted smile towards Teddy and turned to the next to speak.
His breath was slow, perhaps it was the shock of seeing what really happened once more. Maybe it was because he'd felt and shared the pain the curse inflicted on it's victim, he hadn't been able to understand why they tortured him like this yet all the same they didn't do it for long until the green light filled the dark carpark before diving back into the wand. Cole was already dead, the killing curse was no use for him. "Correct Hunter. The Imperio curse is perhaps useful if you don't want to be caught but need someone to do something for you, however don't take any ideas out of this room." His face was chucked back in amusment at a hufflepuff boy who's eyes had greedily thought that he could get his sister to do something but fell in dissapointment. "And finally Avada Kedavra, the killing curse. Unfortunatly many people will be related to someone who was brutelly murdered this way since the second war..." His sister had been murdered this way. "Any questions? If not please come up if your 6th year and below get a beetle 7th your lucky enough to get one of these beauties, spiders."

Della always loved this class. She sat in the middle two seats away from Teddy Lupin. She didn't find him attractive but he wasn't horrible. A soft sigh slipped through her mouth as she pulled up her robe from her left arm and glanced at the mark. Della quickly pulled it back down and focused on the professer. Curses. She'd like to use Avada Kedavra on Melia. Della breathed deeply and watched the teacher. Della ever conversed during class though, unless it was with the professer.
Della gazed around again. She was looking for one person really but she knew he probably wasn't here. It was quite boring sometimes but he always lightened her mood. Sighing softly again, she drew on a piece of paper but glanced at the professer every now and then to show him she was still listening. Stepping up to where he'd told sixth to go, she got a beetle and sat back down. Pulled out her wand and prepared.

Gwendolyn sat quietly in the far right of the second row, she was brooding, something she did often, but she still paid close enough attention. As the teacher finished his speech she scribbled down notes about the spells on a spare peice of parchment, she'd copy it into her notebook later. Gwen didn't mind DADA, but it could get a little uncomfortable with someone that had as vivid an imagination as she did. The witch couldn't stop herself from imagining the terrible fate one of these curses condemned both the caster and the victim to. As Professor Raven called up the sixth nad seventh years to practice the spells Gwen couldn't repress a shudder and she thanked fate that she wasn't a few years older. Gwendolyn hated feeling dangerous, hated knowing she could do anything that would harm someone, and unfortunately she was reminded how dangerous she was every month.

Defence against the Dark Arts: acronym DADA, no "t". Possibly one of the most difficult subjects in Hogwarts after potions and Tranfiguration, unless you have a natural talent for it. Other wise thats several hours torture out of your week. Speaking of torture.... The unforgiveable curses. Imperio, Crucio, Avada Kedavra.
Sat int eh back corner of the class Ebony tryed to hunch down some more, it wasn't that she was scared or nervouse, or that she disliked the class or teacher, all these she found perfectly agreeable, it was the subject matter of the lesson she did not like. That and the beetles. Pushing a strand of hair from her eys she tried to keep from being sick, wondering if she could avoid going to the front for the entire lesson, but it looked as though that would be impossible. At length she stood shakily and began the long trek to the front of the classroom. It felt as though every eye was on her although in reality they were no doubt fixed on teh beetles and spiders they had to keep hemmed in on their desks. It was a nightmare.
Reaching the front Ebon accepted her beetle with silent revulsion, cupping it with her hands she made the mistake of looking up as she began her hald whispered plea: Sir?... but teh words died i nthe back of her throat and she knew it was no use. Hot silent tears of fear prickled the back of her eyes as she made her way back to her seat, realeasing the beetle back onto the desk and keeping it there with one hand she fished her wand out of her bag, loosing the beetle and summoning it ever time it went too far. Ready to work.
SHe could see the great expanse of classroom that stood between her and the door and the little black beetle in her hand felt like a lead weight, she blinked furiously, hiding away the angry burn of unshed tears. She did not like the way this lesson was going, a lupine part of her nature flared up in her. Why did she have to take this? Why when she could tear tehm all to shreds in an instant? Then it died and she was lef tat the back ofthe calss room with a disgusting black beetle that made her stomach turn feeling dreadfully alone.

Today, Arturo's skirt was slightly shorter than it should have been but it was the only one that was clean, she was backed up in her laundry and had to do some charms tonight. She grimaced at the thought but cleared it when she recieved her beatle. She looked at the creature and then to the spider, how she wished she could have a spider, they were...More elegant looking. Her third of veela made her a bit leaniant to beauty. She looked at Professor Raven; he was quite handsome but she was simply a student and would never go for a teacher. She took her creature to the desk and thought of what to make it do when the time came.
When she treaded back to her seat, a Ravenclaw student touched the hem of her skirt, extrmely close to her upper thigh. Her eyes grew wide and she smacked his hand in disgrace; she didn't want that attention, this skirt was from last year and she had grown taller, and more curvy, causing the hem to rise on her body. She sighed and sat in her seat; her streaked golden mane was just straight and her short layers of side bangs on her right were pulled back with an emerald clip. She had worn darker eye makeup again and her violet eyes stood out brillantly.
She pulled out her phoenix core wand and placed it to the right of her beatle, the creature crawled all over her desk and on the wand, she smiled weakly and oushed the wand to the middle of the desk. This was going to be the best lesson they ahd all year.
