DEVENIAeighteenENGLISH
Well it's hard not to know about me although if you insist I shall tell. I'm Devenia, please call me Deven, an 18 year old girl from the wonderful country of England. I live in a converted cow barn and servants quaters with my mum who, bless her heart, has to put up with me. Theres no use explaining what I look like but let's get onto clothes! I adore dresses, I'd wear them every day if it wasn't cold although I do get to wear some of the most georgeous gowns for my dancing shows, although of course like most people I stick to jeans and t-shirts. I adore my mascara and eyeliner they are my best buds and my hair... well we won't get onto that. I have a sister, of whome I don't get on well with and she doens't live with us, called Bronia and she looks like me sort of anyway. I look about 7 and I love animals. I'm a professional dancer and teach (just new to it) 3-7 year olds a range of styles.

11th August 2007 - Dance Competition
[Good News All Around]
Current mood: ecstatic
!AHHHHHH! I'm so happy, thankyou for all your support and AHHHHHHHH!
Well you all know I had a big competition/show today. Part of it was a couples/double competition and then the single/solo. The first part was the solo and I had the most amazing dress in the world, thankyou so much Mishella! She made it for me and I love her so much for it, well I was aiming for 1st or 2nd that was with my ballet/freestlye solo whihc I hadn't practised much. So I got there at around 4:30am and started practising (there was this whole no photography thing or I would have gotten pictures for you all) to Taylor Swifts Teardrops on My Guitar. It went perfectly! I got the highest solo score I've ever gotten and first place!
The next part of the morning was a none competitive show with our dance/musical act of the finale of our production being second on the stage. I was wearing my dress (I think most of you out there have seen it if not just ask and I'll post it) and my trusty 4 inch polly-anna shoes. This was nervewracking as I had to sing acoutically for the first 10mins; the story line was America (me) had to take these two twins to find their mother in this totally different world called Joh'sine where there are centaurs, rock giants etc. I had to sing about the dead not being fearful and that they would lead us to the place: my solo singing and dance until 20mins later the twins join in a little clumbsily. They found out their mother died after the king of the land slaughtered anyone over a certain age in the middle class range. It's an emotional scene but America has just been married and so her and her husband adopt the twins. She marries a moon eater who is someone who doesn't eat food and as long as theres a moon they live.
Then was our doubles dance (the m ost competitive and difficult part of the morning) by this time it was only 9am! Our dance was done me in a white, silver, gold and blue ribbon dress which is basically like this; imagine ties (yes the ones buisness people wear) in plain silk colours like that attached to a middle piece of fabric and making a skirt. A lot of people saw my underwear but I don't care hehe. We got second here and I must say everyone put up a high standard. We won best costume (obviously) and best routine choreographed by two or less people yet were pipped by half a point off the first place by one of my good friends.
Good luck to everyone in further competitions and I hope you all do well in the future even if you don't want this as a porfession! Well done to everyone and the same as before, good luck.
