The boy was absently twitching, not twitching exactly, more like vibrating. He literally exhumed energy, his feet shook back and forth and he was tapping his quill incessantly against the arm of the side of the chez lounge he was laying on. He was laying on his back, one arm over the single arm of the lounge, the other holding the quill. Benji itched to do something, to run, jump, swim something. But he couldn't it was two AM, he wasn't allowed out of the tower at this time of night. Morning. Whatever.
He had lit a single lamp, its flickering flame gave him something to look at in the still silent room. The young wizard's eyes drifted out of focus, and then he was up, pacing the room like a caged animal. Music, he wished Hogwarts didn't screw up electrical devices. He wanted his stereo so bad right now, music was the only thing that could alleviate his moods, calm him down.
It wasn't that he was upset, quite the contrary he was nearly ecstatic, but he had no outlet for his energy. Benji was still holding the quill, it snapped in his fingers and he threw it on the ground. The Ravenclaw common room was filled qith crumpled parchment, empty ink bottles and broken quills. One more wouldn't make a difference. In a huff Benji threw himself onto the lounge, smiling widely and humming a rave song under his breath. God he wished he could sleep. He never slept well, he was either too hyper, or angry, or upset, or something. And if he did sleep, the nightmares came. There was nothing he could do to stop them. Not matter the muggle medications, or the potions the healers prescribed, nothing worked.
Benji had long ago figured out what was wrong with himself. He was simply insane. That was all there was to it.

Dreams of dancing by a lake, and scoring goals at a quidditch game wove in and out of her head. All the sudden, she felt someone grab her by the arms. she turned around to see who it was, but couldn't see their face. she tried to free herself, but the hold on her got tighter, and slowly moved to her throat and started shaking her.
Jenn jolted upright realizing that it was her own hands trying to strangle herself, she inhaled quick breaths of air. her emerald optics hastily glanced around, taking in the familiar surroundings of the Ravenclaw common room. figuring she must have fallen asleep by the clutter of papers and books strewn about below her seat.
She started picking up every thing and shoving it into her old bag, though she took her time. If she hurried, that would mean the quicker she would need to sleep, which would mean dreaming, which could then turn into nightmares, which resulted in no sleep at all. she looked up-wards toward the large clock that was adjacent to her, and saw that it was just after two. joy, only seven more hours.

Maybe Kayla had some downers he could borrow, just for this night. Benji rolled his eyes imagining his friend 'What, can't you get through twenty-four hours without something?' she would say. He crossed his arms wondering vaguely how long he would be up like this when he heard a scream. Behind him was a girl who had apparantly fallen asleep in the middle of the common room, her hands were at her own throat.
Unable to conjure up enough care, Benji watched her for a second, she woke up and stared at nothing for a while, still not noticing him. She was a pretty little thing he had to admit, long dark hair and wide eyes framed with thick lashes. A little bit of eyeliner and pierce her ears, and she'd be good to go. The girl shoved things into her bag apparantly oblivious to the fact that she was being watching.
"Having a good morning are we?" he called out to her a smile playing around his lips as he stared unabashadly at her. Not a bad figure either he decided, but she was probably the absolute picture of a Ravenclaw girl, studious and chaste. What a bore. Benji had to admit to himself though that if he wasn't so crazy, he would probably be a bookworm too. He was actually, he just never really showed it.

As she stuffed the final items into her bag, she heard a voice emitting six single words. A good mornig? Ha he obviously has no idea who he is talking to. Jenn found this ammusing, greeting his own playful smile with her own.
She turned in the direction that the voice had come from and found a blonde haired boy sitting near the fire. She could only asume that he was having the same kind of mornimg she was, an early one.
Jenn combed her hair behind her ears, her cheeks seemed to warm, though not because of the fire. She wished she had had time to make herself look at least half-way decient . You could say that, how about you? What brings you here at... she glanced back at the clock Two fifteen?

Benji laughed and said "Couldn't sleep." he shrugged absently and looked her over again, she was blushing furiously. Springing up from the chez lounge he strode over to her, his smile wide, blue eyes glittering in a friendly sort of way.
Holding his hand out to her he said "Benji Kenton. And you are?" his blonde hair was limp, he hadn't spiked it up yet, there wasn't really a point in it at 2 AM. His hair fell across his eyes in a kind of haphazard way, he looked completely comfortable with talking to a fifteen year old girl in the common room in the early hours of the morning. But there was that absent fidgeting twitch of his right hand.

Jenn met his gorgious blue eyes momentarily then glanced away as he came towards her. As you can tell, I can sleep, just not stay that way he eyes followed him as he moved towards her. she took his hand into ers and was shocked to find how warm it was. as she did this her stomache felt as if a million butterflies had been let lose inside her. she was sure that her cheeks were scarlet, and tried to say some thing but the words stuck in her mouth, and her lips went dry. she chanced a glance at him, and watched his face. I'm Jenna. she said quietly haven't seen you before, its nice to finaly meet you. she glanced back at her feet, still not letting go of his hand.
